About the Tool
A free roadmap maker for developer, product and strategic roadmaps
A roadmap turns a big goal into steps you can actually take. freeroadmaps is a free, browser-based editor for drawing those steps, attaching the resources that help with each one and sharing the result with a single link. No account, no database, no cost.
Developer and learning roadmaps
Start from the frontend or backend template, or a blank canvas, and make it yours: add the frameworks you care about, drop what you already know and link the tutorials and docs that actually helped. Combine both templates into a full stack roadmap if that is your path. Anyone who opens your roadmap can mark topics as Done, In Progress or Skipped, so it works as a personal checklist, not a static poster. Teachers and mentors can send a curriculum as a link, and each student tracks their own progress in their own browser.
Product and strategic roadmaps
Lay out quarters, themes or milestones as sections, branch the work under each one and add notes that explain the why. The Product Launch template walks from discovery through build, launch and growth. A share link gives stakeholders a visual overview they can open in any browser, with no license or login.
How it works under the hood
Your roadmaps are saved in your browser’s local storage, so nothing leaves your device until you share. A share link carries the whole roadmap, compressed, inside the URL itself, so there is no server copy to leak or lose. You can embed an interactive roadmap in a blog or docs page, or export it as PNG, SVG or JSON, with no watermark.
